Artistic Director, Carnatic Vocal

Shraddha Mohan

An All India Radio graded vocalist trained since age five - bringing the full depth of South Indian classical music to every class.

Background & Training

Shraddha Mohan began her journey in Carnatic music at age five and has never stopped. Her training spans the full depth of the South Indian classical tradition - from foundational swaras and sruti awareness through complex ragas, kalpana swaras, and the kriti repertoire of the great composers.

She holds a Master of Arts in Indian Music from the University of Madras, one of India's foremost institutions for classical arts. Over the years she trained under four distinguished gurus - Dr. Mala Swamy, Smt. Seetha Rajan, Smt. Suganda Kalamegham, and Smt. Suguna Varadachari - each contributing a distinct layer of depth and rigor to her musical foundation.

Teaching Philosophy

Shraddha believes that Carnatic music is a lifelong conversation - between student and guru, between voice and sruti, between technique and feeling. She teaches with patience and precision, building proper foundations in swara, tala, and raga recognition before advancing students into more complex material.

Her goal is to develop students who understand not just what to sing, but why - connecting each composition to its raga character, its composer, and its living place in the South Indian classical tradition.
