What students learn here does not stay in the room. Across the year our students take real stages, meet real opponents, and get invited into the community - as much or as little as each family chooses.

On Stage
Students perform where people are actually watching
Once a year the whole academy takes a single stage for our grand recital, and we encourage every student to be part of it. It is the one performance we hope nobody misses.
Beyond that, Spotlight students get invited out into the community. The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival brings us back every year, as does The Woodlands Children's Museum, alongside community events and cultural celebrations through the year.
Every appearance beyond the annual recital is optional. Families choose what they want to take on, and no student is ever required to step on stage.

In Competition
Real opponents, not just practice
Chess and cricket students test themselves outside the classroom. We run a chess tournament each year, and our cricket squad plays matches against teams from beyond the academy.
We are working toward putting a cricket side into a structured league, and we would happily run chess events more often if the interest is there.
