Shrikanth Vaikundam is an experienced, highly accomplished and dedicated classical and semi-classical singer with a passion for preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Indian music and a strong background in performing arts. He has received formal training in Indian classical music from various esteemed gurus in India. He has a solid foundation in classical ragas, taal (rhythm), and improvisation techniques.

Shrikanth believes that teaching Indian classical music creates a network of like-minded individuals who share a common passion. It fosters a sense of community, where students and teachers come together to learn, perform, collaborate, and celebrate the art form. He feels a sense of responsibility to pass on the knowledge and skills to the next generation. He adopts a student-centred approach, tailoring his teaching methods to the individual needs and goals of each student. He understands the challenges faced by beginners and focuses on building a strong foundation in classical music theory, vocal techniques, and proper breath control. He encourages creativity and self-expression, while also instilling discipline and respect for the art form.

With 15 years of experience singing onstage and performing at various concerts, Shrikanth brings a wealth of practical knowledge and stage presence to his teaching. He specializes in vocal instruction for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. He covers a wide range of topics, including voice training, swara (musical note) exercises, varnams (elaborate compositions), krithis (classical compositions) and other semi-classical devotional songs.

• Performed at various Indian communities/cultural organizations in the US (TNF, EKAM, RIICAS, BKM, Hindu temple of Woodlands) 
• Won various Inter school and college music competition.
